Overview
The sheet cutting line is Eprotech’s primary system for converting molded EPS blocks into flat sheets, boards, and panels at high production rates. It operates as a continuous inline process: blocks enter at one end, and finished stacked sheets exit at the other, with minimal operator intervention required between those points.
This is the standard equipment for manufacturers producing EPS insulation boards, packaging sheets, construction panels, and other flat-format products where consistent thickness and surface quality matter.
Process Sequence
The cutting line follows a fixed sequence of stations. Molded and seasoned EPS blocks are loaded onto the infeed conveyor, either manually or via an upstream block storage system. The conveyor transports each block to an alignment station that positions it accurately relative to the cutting wires.
Horizontal cutting wires, arranged in a bank at precisely set intervals, slice the block into sheets of the target thickness. The number of wires and their spacing are adjustable through the PLC interface, allowing operators to switch between product specifications without mechanical rework. Vertical cutting stations then trim the sheets to the required width and length.
Offcuts and edge trims are automatically diverted via belt or pneumatic conveyors to the scrap crushing system, where they are ground and returned to the production cycle through the mixing unit upstream of the block mold.

Stacking and Packaging
Cut sheets travel on outfeed conveyors to an automatic stacking station. The stacker accumulates sheets to a programmed count or stack height, then transfers each completed stack to the packaging area. Optional wrapping stations apply shrink film or stretch wrap for weather protection and bundle integrity. For high-throughput operations, robotic palletizing systems place wrapped stacks onto pallets in configured patterns, ready for warehouse storage or dispatch.

Throughput
Sheet cutting line output depends on block size, sheet thickness, and the number of cutting stations in the line. Eprotech engineers each line to match the customer’s block molding capacity, ensuring the cutting line does not become a bottleneck in the overall production flow.
